Joan L. Buswell

Joan L. Buswell, 80, of Goose Creek, SC, widow of Warren E. Buswell, entered into eternal rest Saturday, November 16, 2013. Her memorial service will be held in Peace Presbyterian Church, Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 11:00 am. Inurnment will be held in Beaufort National Cemetery Friday, November 22, 2013 at 12:00 noon. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 20, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC, NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, N. Charleston.

Joan was born May 31, 1933 in Roslyn, Washington, one of four children of the late Albert Laudinsky and the late Adeline Fera Laudinsky. She graduated from Cle Elum High School in 1951, was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a retired public school library assistant at Westview Elementary School. Joan was a member of Peace Presbyterian Church, a life member and treasurer for many years of the Presbyterian Women, Circle Chairman and Bazaar Chairman. She was also a member of the Goose Creek Garden Club, American Legion Post 166, Ladies Auxillary of the VFW, Royal Neighbors (an extension of Woodmen of America), Girls State representative, Girl Scout leader and a former active member of the Goose Creek High School Band Boosters. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Lynne Altman (Joe) of Goose Creek; sister, Rosalie Wasisco (Alex) of Renton, WA; and dear friends, Glenna Best, Marguerite Brown, Nancy Berendse and Sandy DeWitt, all of Goose Creek. Joan was predeceased by two brothers: Elmer Laudinsky and Ernie Laudinsky.

Harry “Bo” Lloyd Crawford

Harry “Bo” Lloyd Crawford, 41, of Goose Creek, husband of Mary “Denise” (Way) Crawford, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital.

Friends and family may call at James A. Dyal Funeral Home on Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock PM. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at 2 o’clock PM at Midway Baptist Church, 506 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek. Burial will follow at Summerville Cemetery, 17A Boone Hill Parkway, Summerville.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Medical University of SC, Hollings Cancer Center, “Pancreatic Research”, 86 Jonathan Lucas Street, Charleston, SC 29425.

Bo was born on December 10, 1971 in Charleston, SC son of Patsy Jean (Grey) Howard (Gene) of Ladson, SC and the late Harry Wilson Crawford. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of Creekside Bass Club. Bo was employed by US Department of Justice, Bureau of Prisons, FCI Williamsburg as an electrician.

Surviving in addition to his wife Denise are: two sons: Joshua Lloyd Crawford and Zachary Wilson Crawford of Goose Creek; one sister: Kelly Jean Tolle of Goose Creek; stepbrother: Stephen Howard of Summerville. He was predeceased by his stepsister, Pamela Dawn Shelley.
