A Goose Creek soldier is coming home to the U.S.
Bryan E Wilson Jr. graduated Goose Creek High School in June of 2008. He joined the U.S. Army after graduation and completed basic training at Fort Jackson in Columbia.
He then completed his AIT Training for Information Technology Specialist at Fort Gordon in Georgia. He was then assigned to his first duty station at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs.
WIlson has been deployed twice under Operation Enduring Freedom. The first was at Camp Leatherneck from 2010- 2011; in the second deployment, he went to Kandahar in January and moved halfway through to Bagram.
He is assigned to the 68th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion out of Colorado Springs. The 68th will be returning stateside in November 2013.
Wilson plans on returning home for good in September of 2014 to begin his life here in Berkeley County after serving six years in the Army. He plans to continue his education and obtain a job here in the Lowcountry that will utilize his training and skills.
Wilson will be proudly welcomed home by his family and friends In December 2013 when he returns home for a short Christmas break.
