Halloween will get a little “naughty” this year for both Home Team BBQs as they host their annual celebrations. At their Sullivan’s Island location, the annual pumpkin carving competition returns on Monday, Oct. 28 starting at 7 p.m. Patrons can come down and carve one of the many pumpkins used to decorate the place. The top designs will win gift certificates to the restaurant.
Halloween night on Sullivan’s Island will feature the band International Morality, partnering with Derek Cribb, to host another installment of the Home Team Album Showcase. The collaboration will perform the 1982 Gregory Issacs’ album “Night Nurse” in its entirety sandwiched in between two other shorter sets of reggae favorites.
West Ashley features the Disco Demolition Knights lead by Charleston’s own rock devil Brian ‘BG’ Graham and includes two sinister sets of hard originals and holiday specials.
Both locations will host a Naughty Nurse Costume Contest, male or female, and winners will receive gift cards as prizes from $50 to $250. The fun begins at 9 p.m. and lasts until 2 a.m. Admission is $5 on Sullivan’s Island and West Ashley is free for the public to attend.
