Irish eyes

The Daughters of St. Brigid are young ladies from ages 6 to 14 of Irish decent and of Catholic faith. They are a Junior group of the The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. Most of the girls attend Christ our King- Stella Maris School. Representatives from the East Cooper Community Outreach and Lowcountry Food Bank attended the school assembly and each organization received $100 to help end hunger in our area. The girls raised the money by having bake sales and selling “I am of Ireland” T-Shirts during the yearly Friday night pre St. Patrick’s Day Ceilis held at Stella Maris Church. The motto of the group is Friendship, Unity and Christian Charity. Visit their website at weebly.daughtersofstbrigid.com. PHOTO PROVIDED
