October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the Lowcountry, and Cupcake remains committed to supporting the cause.
The special “‘Cupcake for the Cure,” a chocolate cake with cream cheese icing and a pink sugar heart, will be available for purchase daily in both locations, as well as in Columbia, throughout the month. For every “Pink” cupcake sold, Cupcake will donate $1 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation to raise awareness and funding to find the cure.
Customers can also support the cause by making an in-store donation of $1 or more at any location and receive a dollar off coupon toward a future visit.
Along with raising money, Team Cupcake will walk-the-walk in support of the cause by participating in the Race for Cure walk/run on Saturday, Oct. 19. Cupcake will also team up with Trysports in Mount Pleasant on Sunday, Oct. 20, for a Cupcake Ride with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting Lowcountry Komen.
Cupcake has donated more than a half a million cupcakes to community causes since its founding, and continues to support numerous local non-profit organizations.
