The Stratford High School JROTC program is doing great things for the school and the community.
The Secretary of the Army recently recognized the program as an Honor Unit with Distinction. This is based on exceptionally high standards during inspections, training, discipline, and community service activities throughout the year.
The Fourth Brigade Headquarters presented the SHS JROTC with a certificate to commemorate this honor.
The Stratford High School JROTC Rifle Team recently took top honors in every shooting position for an overall victory at a competition at Hanahan High School.
The 25 Knight Battalion also gives back to the community and school. The JROTC cadets volunteered for stadium cleanup on a recent Saturday morning. Several cadets earned battalion coins and will also be recognized with community service ribbons.
