Cane Bay fell to 0-2 on the season with a 35-14 loss to Fort Dorchester on Friday night.
The Cobras led 14-13 late in the second quarter but couldn't hold the lead as the Patriots rallied behind quarterback Kobe Garrett. The Fort Dorchester defense also kept the Cobras out of the end zone the rest of the way while improving to 2-0.
Garrett tossed four touchdown passes, including a 69-yarder to Rashad Palmer that answered Romante Frasier's 81-yard kickoff return for a score that gave the Cobras a short-lived lead.
Palmer's touchdown grab gave the Patriots a 21-14 halftime advantage and Garrett tossed two more scores in the second half.
Frasier also had Cane Bay's first score, capping a 69-yard drive with a 10-yard scoring run to tie the game at 7 early in the second quarter. Phillip Jackson made both extra points for the Cobras.
Cane Bay had less than 170 yards of total offense against Fort Dorchester.
Cane Bay meets another 0-2 team on Friday when it travels to Berkeley. The Stags are coming off a 43-20 loss to Summerville.
