Police were called to a local bank because a suspicious man was inside talking gibberish.
He was walking around inside and began cussing. Then he began carrying on a conversation with anyone who would listen saying the British were coming. He added in for good measure that a major earthquake would soon strike as well.
He had no apparent business to do at the bank so after a while, when he realized everyone was ignoring him, the suspect left.
He was never located, and perhaps was kidnapped by the arriving British forces.
