A Ladson man told authorities he was the victim of a strong-arm robbery on Raritan Road near Goose Creek on Aug. 16.
The victim had a bloody mouth and swollen lips when an officer arrived at about 6 p.m., according to a Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office report.
The victim said he came to a residence to visit someone and while he was counting money in his pocket an unknown black male jumped him and hit him in the mouth, according to the report.
While the victim was lying on the ground the subject went through his pockets and took about $60, the victim told the officer. He said the subject then left in a car with a white male whom he knows only by a first name.
The victim was able to write down the tag number of the silver Chevy Cavalier. When the officer went by the car’s address nobody was home, according to the report.
