Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office agents have arrested a second suspect in connection with the July 27 Nowhere Bar & Grill shooting.
Steven Moses, 38, was arrested Thursday morning at his Lindy Creek Road residence in Goose Creek, according to information released by BCSO.
Jason Gourdine, 38, was arrested on Wednesday at his Hooks Lane residence.
Gourdine’s bond was set at $900,000. Moses’ bond is expected to be set Thursday evening.
Both suspects are charged with three counts of attempted murder in relation to the shooting that occurred Sunday shortly after 2 a.m. at Nowhere Bar & Grill, off Henry Brown Boulevard.
At 1:50 a.m. two men entered the bar and were told they would not be served because it was after last call, according to a BCSO incident report.
The suspects then said they were not being served because they were black. Bartenders and customers contested this claim as words were exchanged and a missed punch was thrown at one of the suspects.
The suspects left as staff told patrons to stay inside to give the suspects time to leave, according to the report.
The suspects soon returned and fired shots at the bar, injuring three customers. Two of the victims are husband and wife and both had shotgun pellets inside them, according to BCSO spokesperson Dan Moon.
As of Thursday it is believed that one or more of the victims are still hospitalized, Moon said. One of the victims required surgery to have the pellets removed, according to Moon.
