Ayotte graduates

Air Force Airman Alex M. Ayotte has graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland at San Antonio, TX.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Ayotte is the son of Kristen and Frank Arnold of Goose Creek. He is a 2012 graduate of Goose Creek High School.

Brooks completes basic

Army Pvt. Jeffrey T. Brooks Jr. has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.
Brooks is the son of Nanette Brooks of Goose Creek, and is a 2008 graduate of Goose Creek High School.

Brown completes training

Air Force Airman Nicholas G. Brown has graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, TX.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Brown is the son of Fred Brown of Summerville, and grandson of Linda Wilkerson of North Charleston. He is a 2012 graduate of Stratford High School.

Creech graduates

Air Force Airman First Class Jason M. Creech has graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, TX.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Creech is the son of Darlene Schwartz of Goose Creek, and Jason Creech of Knoxville, TN. He is a 2012 graduate of Stratford High School.

Cruz-Reyes completes nuclear training

Navy Petty Officer Third Class Erica J. Cruz-Reyes has graduated from the U.S. Navy's Nuclear Power School at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in Goose Creek.
Nuclear Power School is a rigorous, six-month course that trains officers and enlisted students in the science and engineering fundamental to the design, operation, and maintenance of naval nuclear propulsion plants.
Graduates next undergo additional instruction at a prototype training unit before serving as a Surface Warfare Officer aboard a nuclear-powered surface ship or as an Electronics Technician aboard a nuclear-powered submarine.
Cruz-Reyes, an Electronics Technician, has served in the military for two years.
She is the daughter of Amy Burnette of Goose Creek. The petty officer is a 2007 graduate of Indian River High School in Chesapeake, Va.

Mundis enlists

Mikhayla M. Mundis, a 2011 graduate of Stratford High School, recently enlisted in the United States Navy under the Delayed Entry Program.
The program allows recruits to enter the Navy and take up to one year to complete prior commitments such as high school. Using recruiters as mentors, this program helps recruits ease into the transition from civilian to military life.
Mundis will report for active duty to undergo basic training at the Navy's Recruit Training Center in Great Lakes, Ill.
