A Berkeley County man reported that three men attempted to rob him at gunpoint just before midnight on July 5.
That’s according to a Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office report. The victim said he was sitting on his front porch off Redbank Road when he was approached by three slim, black males.
The victim said one male stayed in the yard while the other two came onto the porch. The tallest man – wearing a yellow bandana over his head – produced a small, gold handgun and held it to the victim’s head, according to the report.
The victim said he did not have any money and was struck on the head with the handgun, producing a one-inch laceration. All three males then fled in the direction of Redbank Road.
The victim said he did not recall any further descriptions of the suspects due to having the gun pointed at him and the events happening so quickly.
Medics arrived but the victim refused to be transported. A deputy searched the area but did not find the subjects.
