A man went into a local gas station and grabbed a bottle of orange juice. He then went into the bathroom with the bottle. He quickly came back out and told the clerk there was no paper towels in the bathroom, according to a police report. So, the clerk had to go to the back storeroom to get more paper towels. When he did this the man left the store.
The clerk noticed the bottle of orange juice sitting on the ground outside. He picked it up and put it back in the cooler. He told police he was going to let the incident go until he went in the bathroom to fill the paper towel dispenser. That’s when he noticed the toilet paper missing and called police.
Police tracked down the suspect who did not have anything on him.
Although police said this did constitute shoplifting, the store clerk said he did not want to press charges, he just wanted the man on trespass notice.
