Goodwill Industries of Lower South Carolina hosted a Chairman’s Reception on June 12 at the Charleston Yacht Club to induct the 2013-2014 Board of Directors’ Slate of Officers.
During the event, Patrick Bryant, outgoing Board Chair, “passed the gavel” to Ann Elish who will serve as Goodwill’s Board Chair for 2013-2014. Elish announced the 2013-2014 Slate of Officers as follows: Rob Phillips, Vice Chair; George Temple, Treasurer; and Mike Saboe, Secretary.
“It was an honor to serve as Goodwill’s Board Chair,” said Bryant. “In 2012, Goodwill was able to serve more than 37,500 people and place over 800 people into jobs.”
Retiring board members, Dr. Salvatore Moscatello, Reta Boettner and Rudy Gill, were presented special awards in appreciation for their dedication to the mission of Goodwill and their years of service. New board members Rick Lipps, Jim Millette and Scott Wink were welcomed by President and CEO Robert Smith.
“We are excited for the talents our newest board members bring to the agency,” said Smith. “I want to express our sincere gratitude to Sal Moscatello, Reta Boettner and Rudy Gill for their time, energy and talents as they retire from the board.
“I also want to thank outgoing Board Chair, Patrick Bryant, for the leadership he has provided.”
