A home invasion was reported May 9 in the Pineview subdivision.
Goose Creek Police Department officers responded to 106 Wilmer Drive at approximately 12:29 p.m. in reference to a report of armed intruders entering the residence, according to a GCPD statement.
The resident fled to a nearby business to notify this agency and wait for officers.  Officers went to the residence and verified that the intruders were no longer in the residence.
A perimeter was established and a GCPD canine followed a short track. No suspects were located, according to GCPD.
The suspects were initially described as two black males wearing black hooded shirts and ski masks – one carrying a hatchet and the other an axe. The identities of the suspects are unknown. The resident was not injured in the incident.
Westview Elementary, Middle, and Primary schools were notified of the incident due to their close proximity to the incident scene.
The case is under investigation
