Hanahan firefighter arrested for sexual conduct with minor

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office arrested a City of Hanahan firefighter and paramedic Wednesday and charged him with criminal sexual conduct with a minor, according to a statement released by BCSO Wednesday afternoon. Justin Shayne Rider, 30, of 234 Miami Street, Ladson, was arrested following an investigation into an allegation made Sunday concerning a 14 year-old-minor female. Rider is charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor, second degree. He is set to go before a bond court judge Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center in Moncks Corner.
