Goose Creek will begin a project to extend its hiker/biker trail along Plantation North Boulevard, the city announced this week.
This project will connect the existing trail that ends at the intersection of Plantation North Boulevard and Indigo Way, and extend to the entrance of Oak Creek Subdivision. The project will begin early May with an anticipated completion date of September 2013.
Goose Creek City Council has awarded a contract to First Construction Management of Hanahan to complete the extension. The project will consist of approximately 950 linear feet of a 10-foot wide hiker/biker trail from the existing trail along Plantation North Boulevard to the intersection of Two Hitch Road; an additional 175 linear feet of a five-foot wide sidewalk will be installed at the entrance of Indigo Place Subdivision.
The project will cost $84,782.96 and is being funded by Enhancement Funds and C-Funds.
If you have questions about the hiker/biker trail extension, please contact Goose Creek Projects Coordinator Chick Foster of at 824-2200 ext. 4270 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
