Emily Gissendanner, a senior at Stratford High School, has been awarded the Crusader Fellows Scholarship by North Greenville University. She was chosen to receive the scholarship on the basis of her academic achievement, school, church, and community involvement.
Gissendanner is the daughter of Kim and Janice Gissendanner of Goose Creek.
With satisfactory academic progress, the scholarship will guarantee the full cost of tuition, room and board for four years of attendance at North Greenville University. The Crusader Fellows Scholarship is awarded to students who are residents of South Carolina that qualify for the state’s Palmetto Fellows Scholarship.
Gissendanner has been accepted into the NGU’s Class of 2017 and plans to enroll in August of this year.
