Lady Cobras tripped up by West Ashley

The Cane Bay softball team dropped a key region contest on Monday, falling 5-4 at West Ashley High School.
The Lady Cobras fell to 7-5 overall and 1-3 against Region 7-AAAA foes. West Ashley climbed to 10-8 overall and 3-1 in region play.
“We hit the ball well and we played tight defense which made it a close ball game,” Cane Bay coach Sharon Allred said.
Traci Harmon went 4 for 4 with three doubles to lead the Lady Cobras, while Haley Harmon went 3 for 3. Whitney Alexander added two hits.
Cane Bay is set to host Stratford on Wednesday.
