Hawks blasted by James Island, crush Stall

James Island used an 11-run sixth inning to knock off Hanahan 22-5 in a Region 6-AAA baseball game on Friday night at HHS.
The Trojans collected 13 hits in the win and took advantage of 12 Hanahan errors. Christian Dorothy had three hits and five RBIs for James Island (5-5).
Hanahan got two hits apiece from Christian Leakey and Cole King. One of Leakey’s was a solo shot in the first inning.
The Hawks (2-7, 1-2 region) were to play at Hilton Head on Monday before traveling to Stall on Wednesday.
Shortstop Seth Lancaster leads the Hawks with a .435 batting average, followed by Leakey at .363 and Brandon Caddell at .333.
• The Hawks lost to Hilton Head 11-2 and then bounced back to beat Stall 21-2 on Wednesday, March 27.
Brandon Caddell had three home runs for the Hawks, who upped their record to 3-8, 2-3 region.
