Wando jumped out to a 21-5 lead after a quarter and coasted to a 65-50 victory over Stratford in a boys basketball game on Friday night.
The loss dropped the Knights to 8-11 overall and 0-3 in Region 7-AAAA play. They were set to host Cane Bay on Tuesday after press time. Both teams were seeking their first region victories of the season.
Wando improved to 12-8 overall and 2-1 in region.
Demetre Rivers led the Knights with 20 points, while Teandre Hansley and Markel Epps chipped in nine and seven points respectively. Vernon Lowndes had six points.
In the girls game, Wando won 54-24.
The Lady Knights fell to 3-13.
