‘Principal for a Day’ brings Gamble to Marrington

  • Monday, January 14, 2013

The faculty and staff of Marrington Elementary School recently hosted Shannon  Gamble as their acting Principal for a Day.
Gamble is the president of Carolina Quality Textiles. He spent the day visiting classrooms, and shadowing Principal Barb Webber as she went about a typical school day at the school.
The Principal for a Day programs have a long track record of success in many school districts. Inviting community leaders to shadow a principal for a day is a concept designed to help participants understand the rewards and rigors of the job.
PFAD programs have resulted in appreciation and respect for schools, teachers, and principals, and they have built lasting public relations benefits.
