A new world record was set recently for the "Most People Sport Stacking in Multiple Locations,” and Sangaree Elementary second graders were among 483,658 stackers from 2,375 schools and organizations representing 30 countries who participated. The 2012 STACK UP Challenge was sponsored by the World Sport Stacking Association. Sangaree students extended the challenge to “STOCK UP” pantries for local families and food banks in need of canned goods over the holidays. Students taking part included Austin Frazier, Jacob Perdue, Kaylee Dennison, Callie Diess, Everett Calvin, Tyrell Robinson, Carmen Maldonado, Zahria Robertson, Kamille Lincoln, Victoria Brown, Aurora Mumford, Alondra Lara, Rachel Dupree, Genevieve Johnson, Sammueal Coleman, Hunter Chinners, D'Andre Ransom, Daniel Lopez, En'aj Vasconcellos, Bryce Carpenter and Sky Suber.
