An 18-year-old Goose Creek man one of two men seen on a Walmart security video allegedly using a stolen debit card has turned himself in.
According to the Goose Creek Police Department, Damontrai Anthony Glover turned himself in and is charged with two counts of financial transaction card fraud, value $500 or less; and one count of receiving stolen goods, according to a booking report.
The other man seen in the video cooperated with GCPD and is no longer considered a suspect.
During the investigation police met with the victim, a Goose Creek woman.
The victim said she parked her car at her Sully Street residence on Dec. 4 and had to help her daughter out of the car after surgery, according to an incident report. The victim said she forgot her wallet and its contents in the vehicle. The victim said when she returned to her vehicle the next morning the wallet had been taken out of the car, according to the report.
The vehicle was likely left unsecured as there did not appear to be any damage.
The victim checked her bank statement and noticed her debit card had a fraudulent transaction for a total of $18.68 at the Sunoco located at 200 St James Ave., according to the report.
The suspect attempted to make several other transactions at the Sunoco, as well as at 605 St. James Ave. (Walmart) and a Kangaroo Express located in Ladson, according to the report.
All of those charges were declined due to the suspect entering the wrong PIN for the card.
