Police seek fraud suspect

The Goose Creek Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding fraudulent purchases made by the above individual to please contact GCPD or Inv. Riccio at (843) 863-5200 ext. 2337.

The Goose Creek Police Department is asking for the publicís help in the search for a suspect who used a stolen debit card to buy 12 cartons of cigarettes.
According to a report released by GCPD last week, the suspect entered the Sunoco convenience stores located at 301 N. Goose Creek Blvd. and 200 St. James Ave. on Nov. 6 and utilized a stolen bank card to purchase nine cartons of Newport cigarettes and other items.
The suspect is wearing blue jeans and a Texas Longhorns windbreaker. The suspect also used the stolen bankcard at the Sunoco in Moncks Corner, where he purchased three more cartons of Newport cigarettes.
GCPD received a fax on Nov. 30 from the Henry County Police Department in Georgia, where the victim resides, according to a GCPD incident report. The victim said she never used the card in South Carolina and has in fact never been to Goose Creek or Moncks Corner, according to the report.
A purchase of $256 was made with the stolen card at the 301 N. Goose Creek Blvd. location at 10:09 p.m. and a purchase of $199 was made four minutes later at 200 St. James Ave. Both fraudulent transactions took place Nov. 6.
