A Ladson man reported an armed robbery to authorities about 30 minutes after it occurred near a Redbank Road club at 1 a.m. on Dec. 11.
The victim said he was parking next door to the club at 1270 Redbank Road and was approached by a gold, older model Lexus sedan, according to a Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office report.
There were four black males inside, one of whom was bearing a sawed off black shotgun. The suspects demanded the victim lay on the ground and he did, according to the report. The subjects checked the victim’s pockets and took his possessions – a cell phone, keys, an ATM card and $20 cash.
At some point in the incident the victim received a laceration on the top of his head but was unsure when exactly he was struck, according to the report. The subjects left the man on the ground and left the scene.
While on scene the victim saw one of the possible suspects. After a brief foot pursuit the suspect was detained. The victim was unable to confirm if the suspect was directly involved but did confirm that the suspect was possibly in the car. The suspect’s information was noted and he was turned over to Goose Creek Police for a pending warrant.
