A Moncks Corner man died after a nighttime tractor accident on Dec. 30.
The accident occurred near Moncks Corner at about 11:30 p.m. when Richard Watson Murray, 41, was driving near Glenn Haven Lane. He lost control and ran into a farm pond, according to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.
Murray was ejected from the tractor before it went into the water, according to Salisbury.
Mr. Murray was found about 30 minutes later by his friends and was pronounced dead on the scene by Salisbury. His cause of death is head trauma. The death has been ruled as accidental, according to Salisbury.
The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office and Berkeley County Coroner’s Office are investigating.
