Goose Creek history fan

Dear Editor:

Last fall I attended a series of lectures at Goose Creek City Hall entitled “The History of Goose Creek” presented by Mayor Michael Heitzler.  He shared the stories and folklore of our community in such a way that I was filled with pride and admiration.
Our very rich history of the Colonial Times, from its traders of the 17th century to the plantation society, and the many estates, was a wonderful surprise.  This was reflected and enhanced by audience interjections of personal families histories.
So, I would encourage anyone who is raising a family in this lovely community to make time to attend this series at a future presentation.  I wish I had had this information to pass on to my children.
