A ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating an expansion at the Hanahan Senior Center will be held July 30 at the facility, which is located at 3100 Mabeline Road.
Hanahan Recreation and Parks Director Randy Moneymaker said the public is invited to attend the event, which begins at 6 p.m. Moneymaker is asking for those interested to RSVP at 266-0723.
“This expansion is a great addition to the facility we already have,” Moneymaker said. “We will be able to increase the number of our senior programs and it will give us more space for our classes.”
The add-on will be 2,600 square feet.
The expansion was made possible by a $350,000 grant from the Lieutenant Governor’s Office on Aging.
