Goose Creek Police are looking for a suspect who used a stolen bankcard in an attempt to purchase $600 worth of merchandise from the St. James Avenue Walmart on Dec. 26.
The suspect also used the stolen bankcard at two other locations in Goose Creek, according to a statement released by GCPD last week.
According to an incident report, the victim contacted GCPD after her bank notified her of possible unauthorized purchases. The victim said she went to her bank's ATM and likely left her bankcard on her lap, which then fell to the ground when she exited her vehicle at a grocery store.
Unauthorized purchases were made for a total of $309 at Walmart and Bi-Lo at the time the report was filed Dec. 27. Another fraudulent transaction at Sonoco had not gone through at the time the incident report was filed.
If you have any information regarding this incident please contact the Goose Creek Police Department or Inv. Fogle at (843) 863-5200 ext. 2334 or Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111.
