  • Thursday, March 1, 2012

Hanahan Middle School's math team, pictured above, finished fourth out of 25 teams at the local Math Counts competition at The Citadel on Feb. 17.  Eighth graders Parker Futrell and Jason Brule along with seventh graders Jeremy Lane and Jimmy Hale worked diligently throughout two individual rounds and one team round to earn fourth place. Parker Futrell also placed third individually out of approximately 100 students and will represent Hanahan Middle School at the state level competition held at Coastal Carolina University in early March. The math team is coached by Carli Manchester.
