Just to clarify - he is supsended without pay. I know him, I know the amazing organization with which he was affiliated, and I know that these are false accusations that were made by a grandmother who is mad because the mother did not want her children in the custody of the grandmother when she herself was unable to provide a safe home for them. He provided food, shelter, clothing, and school supplies for them out of the goodness of his heart and at their mother's request, and I believe without a doubt never did anything improper towards them. Be aware - crimes of this nature are taken very seriously and if you are not extremely careful you could be victimized by a vindictive person and could lose everything you have based on false accusations of this nature. Please give the justice system time to work through this case. I pray that true justice will prevail and that Mr. Caples will be exonerated of all charges - and that the false accuser pays for her crime of defamation against him.

Amazing, the difference in treatment. Mr. Carter of SHS gets fired for a hug, and Mr Caples gets a vacation with pay.

Multiple media outlets reported that 30-year-old Robert Francis Caples of the YouthBASE program in Greenville is accused of molesting the children who stayed at his home from June to September of last year.
Caples is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and two counts of committing or attempting a lewd act on a child.
The program's board of directors says Caples has been suspended. YouthBASE helps children with serious behavioral, academic, social and emotional difficulties.
Warrants say the boy was younger than 16 and the girl younger than 11.
