Dear Editor:
Now is the time that we must examine how we impact our environment. There are effective measures we can take as individuals and as a world community to restore the balance of the Earth's ecology.  
Our elected officials need to stop turning a blind eye on our environment and take the necessary steps to  safeguard our natural resources and wildlife. We have everything to gain by protecting our environment and everything to lose by destroying it. It is now or never.
