Cypress Gardens will host an Introduction to Beekeeping session on Jan. 30 at 2 p.m. at the park. Learn about the different varieties of honey, talk to an experienced beekeeper about honey bees, see some of the equipment needed to get started, find out about sources of equipment and bees, and get information about the upcoming South Carolina Master Beekeeper Short course beginning Feb. 4 at Bee City.
